Plasma Torches
Plasma Heating System
Europlasma designs and manufactures plasma heating systems whose high temperature can be used in applications in the steel making industry, waste destruction, high temperature gasification, coal power plant starter.
A plasma heating system is composed of the following sub-systems:
- A plasma torch and its starting device,
- An electrical DC power supply for the torch,
- A control unit (Programmable Logic Controller),
- A water utility for cooling the torch with de-ionised water,
- A gas utility to supply the required plasma gas.

Plasma torch and its fluid modules
A plasma torch transforms electric energy into high density thermal energy, reaching up to 5000 °C, the temperature on the sun's surface.
Plasma torches are an efficient thermal tool that can replace fossil fuel burners with up to 85% efficiency.
When applied to waste treatment, plasma torches allow complete destruction of the waste: organic matter is fully converted into syngas and inorganic compounds are melted into an inert vitrified product that can be recycled and sold.
Plasma torches are suitable for all thermal treatments and ensure easy operation and cost savings based on stable energy prices. In addition, plasma does not involve any form of incineration .
The torches developed by EUROPLASMA are field-proven:
in 2007, the company celebrated one million hours of industrial operation of its plasma heating systems.
EUROPLASMA torches are built with safety devices and optional fully automatic connections for easier interchangeability during maintenance.
EUROPLASMA has invested heavily in R&D for several years, to ensure the continuing improvement of its torches.
EUROPLASMA offers a true partnership, helping customers achieve the best torch implementation in the final process.
EUROPLASMA markets a wide range of plasma heating systems, from a few kW to several MW, and is also willing to initiate strategic partnerships to promote its plasma torches and plasma heating systems.
