At its Morcenx site (France), EUROPLASMA subsidiary INERTAM has been operating for over ten years the world's sole industrial vitrification process by plasma torch, ensuring the complete destruction of asbestos waste.

INERTAM can treat up to 8000 tons of asbestos waste per annum and since 2001, the Morcenx site has handled over 25,000 tons of asbestos waste.
The process was validated and developed on two treatment lines. Today it is industrialized on third line, opened in November 2005, that can treat up to 50 tons of asbestos waste per day.
