Research & Development at the heart of Europlasma
The R&D is critical for the Europlasma Group.
This one mobilizes a dedicated RD team working in an autonomous way for the Group or in partnership, investments for materials and equipments, and in-house administrative resources and the help of consultants specialized for the deposit and management of patents.
The development of new plasma technology processes is undertaken through collaborative multi-year programs at the national or European level, with experts in plasma physics, industrial plasma processes, electrical engineering, high temperature materials and process engineering. The Europlasma Group uses an R&D platform to demonstrate the viability of its products and processes at pre-industrial scale. Lab prototypes are most of the time tested at the facilities of partner research entities.
The team is currently engaged in 2 programs funded by the French national research agency (ANR): the first one aims at developing the 2nd-generation of the Turboplasma© process, while the second one aims at finding high-value valorization opportunities for vitrification slag.
