Europlasma collaborates with Iberdrola and Belgoprocess on a radioactive waste treatment and conditioning contract in Bulgaria.

Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción S.A.U (Iberdrola) and Belgoprocess L.L.C. (Belgoprocess) have been selected at the end of 2009 by Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant Plc (KNPP) to provide the Kozloduy nuclear power plant site with a plant for the treatment and conditioning of solid radioactive waste with high volume reduction.

Iberdrola and Belgoprocess, co-leaders of the consortium, are jointly responsible for designing, manufacturing, installing and commissioning the facility. They will also train KNPP teams under the license process.

Europlasma brings the consortium its expertise in plasma technology to reduce and immobilize radioactive waste.
