Several scientific studies have shown this vitrified product to be harmless and non-toxic, so it is currently classified as an end-product that may undergo recycling. The product has the appearance of black glass or a basaltic rock and has excellent chemical, physical and mechanical qualities. Today it is sold as an aggregate for roadwork capping layers, but it can also be used for other, more "noble", applications such as for the manufacture of concrete products or other construction products (paving stones, etc.).
