Europlasma supplies turnkey plasma torch waste treatment facilities for MSW incineration ash melting.
With its unique expertise and industrial customers in France, Japan and South Korea, Europlasma is now a worldwide reference.
On the Japanese market, Europlasma is today a key player in the waste treatment sector, in competition with leading international groups.

Waste disposal in landfill sites is becoming increasingly limited in every country. Fly ashes from the incineration of MSW are classified as hazardous waste and the cost of transport and disposal of those materials will increase in the future as the number of available hazardous landfill sites drops.

Against this background, plasma melting of incineration ashes provides an economic and sustainable solution, which includes the following specific benefits:

• Ash melting by plasma torch produces a rise in temperature causing the fusion of the ashes, followed by the cooling that generates the vitrified product, and destructures the pollutants in the vitreous matrix.
• In addition, this technique converts toxic waste into a recyclable inert material: Plasmalit.
• It is a proven, robust solution that has been operating reliably for many years.
• Waste material is diverted from landfills, most of it being converted into a usable resource.
• The vitrified product is mechanically strong and its density is approximately 6-8 times that of fly ash. It is environmentally stable.
